Biography
A practicing artist for over fifty years, Pat received her art education in both England and Canada and has taught art and printmaking at both secondary and college levels. She was also a printmaker and graphic artist, running her own screenprinting and graphic design business for several years, before joining a large Surrey-based screenprinting company.
She retired from the commercial side of art in 1995 and moved to Gabriola Island, off the West Coast of British Columbia, where she has spent the last dozen years papermaking (a little), painting (a lot), and teaching painting and papermaking classes and workshops (occasionally). Her studio is open annually during the Gabriola Thanksgiving Studio Tour and year-round by appointment.
An award-winning member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, she is also a member of Nanaimo Art Gallery, The Old Schoolhouse Arts Centre, Qualicum and Gabriola Arts Council. Her work is currently represented by Gabriola Artworks, Nanaimo Art Gallery Downtown and in her studio/gallery on Gabriola.
Her work is represented in business and private collections in Canada, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand and the U.S.A.
